Preparing for your dog's stay
What do I need to bring? We supply most everything your dog will need to make his or her stay a pleasant one! We have bedding, food, bowls, toys and treats.
We supply a high quality premium kibble food called Wellness™. It is made from all-natural human-grade ingredients, with no corn, wheat, preservatives or dyes (four of the most common allergens for dogs). If your dog eats prescription food or is sensitive to changes in diet, you are welcome to bring food from home.
If you do bring your own food, please package the dry food in individually bagged meals and bring only an amount sufficient for the stay, as our storage space is limited.
We also provide bedding for all of our guests! We furnish our suites with Kuranda beds. These are raised canvas beds that provide our guests with a comfortable place to rest in the privacy of their rooms. These beds are virtually indestructible so owners who previously said, "Please, no bedding - she'll eat it!" can now rest easy knowing their loved one is too!

For familiarity, you may want to consider a 'gently worn' t-shirt or towel. Many guests find it comforting to have a familiar smell from home.
Safe, imaginative toys are available in our play area. We offer a variety of dog 'chewies' in our retail shop. If you choose to bring a toy from home, please note that rawhide bones are prohibited due to choking hazards. We will ask you to inventory and label all belongings brought from home. Chain collars and all leashes will be removed and returned to you at check-out.

Checking In
We schedule our check-ins by appointment to allow for a smooth transition for your dog. If your plans change and you find you are unable to arrive as scheduled, please give us a call at (540) 776-7656.
Each of our guests is required to provide proof of current vaccinations for Distemper, Hepatitis, Parainfluenza, Parvo (DHLP-P), Rabies, and Bordetella (Canine Cough). A veterinary record showing administration or due dates needs to be supplied prior to check-in. Records may be faxed to us at (540) 725-7731. Pet Health Record pamphlets are NOT accepted.
At time of check-in, guests are examined for fleas and ticks. If evidence of parasites is found, treatment is immediately administered. The cost will vary depending on the dog's size. Please notify us of any food allergies or medical conditions prior to the time of check-in. Any medications must be supplied in their original containers.
